Basketball Ireland Registration – Action Required
In addition to your Kilkenny Stars membership, every player, coach and volunteer must be registered with Basketball Ireland each season.
Returning Members
If you or your child were registered with Basketball Ireland last season, you should have received a renewal email from Basketball Ireland / noreply@sport80.com.
Please complete your Basketball Ireland renewal as soon as possible.
New Members
If you are new to Kilkenny Stars, you will need to create a Basketball Ireland account and complete your registration using the link 👉🏻 HERE 👈🏻
When registering, please follow these steps:
- Create your Basketball Ireland (Sport80) account.
- Select KKSE as your Area.
- Select Kilkenny Stars as your Club.
- Choose the correct membership type:
- U10 Player (Born 2017 - 2021)
- U13 Player (Born 2014 - 2016)
- U18 Player (Born 2009 - 2013
- Senior Player (Born 2008 or before)
- Please DO NOT pick inclusive as this is for children with additional needs
- Volunteers who are not coaching should select Volunteer.
- Coaches should register as a Coach and ensure they add the appropriate coaching licence.
Basketball Ireland memberships for the 2025/26 season expired on 31st July. Any player, coach or volunteer who has not yet renewed their membership, or completed a new registration, is not insured and must not attend any club training sessions, games or other club activities until they have an active Basketball Ireland membership.
The responsibility for ensuring Basketball Ireland membership is current rests with each player, or in the case of junior members, their parent or guardian.
Just a quick note: Chasing players and families to complete their Basketball Ireland registration each season creates a significant administrative workload for our volunteer committee. We would really appreciate it if everyone could complete their registration as soon as possible, without waiting for reminders. Taking a few minutes to do this promptly helps reduce the number of follow-ups our volunteers need to make and allows them to spend more time supporting the club and our players in other ways.
