Yesterday the Presentation Secondary School hit the road for the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght looking to add a 2nd All Ireland Schools title to their name they delivered in style with a 43 v 34 victory over Crescent Comprehensive from Limerick. The girls hit the front in the first quarter and never looked back leading 11 v 8. At half time they extended their lead to 21 v 15 and the game in the balance.

In the second half Crescent pushed hard but The Pres held firm and extended their lead to 34 v 27 but still had it all to do in the 4th quarter to bring home the title. They duly obliged and finished the game with a 9 point victory winning every quarter!!

What an achievement for the girls and their coaches who have put Kilkenny on the map as a major player in schools basketball in Ireland with a 2nd All Ireland title in the space of a few years. The Pres 2nd Years will try to replicate this feat on Thursday as they also compete in the All Ireland Final.
