We have a very busy weekend of basketball ahead as we host the second of three, Top 4 Competition weekends in both Kieran's College and O'Loughlin's. Both venues will be a hive of activity this Saturday and Sunday so please come along to support. Our u16 girls will have an early start Saturday to make the trip Gormanston for the All Ireland Club Championships 2024. We would like to wish all Kilkenny Stars teams the very best of luck. Kilkenny Stars are so fortunate to have not one, but four, international players in our club. It might surprise you to know that with this huge honour, comes a substantial cost to the players and their families. Along with travel and accommodation expenses incurred to attend training camps in Ireland throughout the year, the players have to pay their own way for international tournaments and training camps too (including flights) !!! There will be 2 European trips this summer culminating in the 2024 FIBA Womens European Basketball Championship. We have Kilkenny Stars players representing Ireland at both U16 and U18 level this summer.

In order to try help with some of the costs, we are holding a special fundraising event over the next two weekends. We have created a special once off lotto ticket -

€5 for 3 lines, which will give you entry to the draw PLUS entry into a special Top 4 split the pot draw - Current Jackpot €2,450 

So even if you are already a club lotto subscriber (for which we thank you) please if you can, buy a ticket for this special fundraiser. All proceeds of the draw along with the tuc shop takings will be shared equally between or 4 International players and put towards their substantial travel expenses. Thank you.
