Our Under 11 Boys had a very busy Sunday with a Cup & Shield Tournament in Kilkenny and Baltinglass respectively.

Our Under 11 Black team put in 2 stellar performances to win the Cup. The final was a thrilling affair against close rivals Portlaoise but our boys put in a great 4th quarter display to take the cup title. Coaches Don and Calvin can be very proud of the work that they have done with this group over the season.

Our Under 11 Orange team travelled to Baltinglass where they overcame tough opposition in Carlow and Baltinglass to win the Shield. The boys put in 2 gritty defensive performances and showed their class in offence also to win their first trophy which is made all the more impressive considering the team comprised of 9 players who were Under 10 and 2 who were Under 9 on the day.

Our Under 11 Girls hosted a fantastic tournament also in Kilkenny on Sunday with Carlow, Paulstown and Baltinglass coming to town to play the girls. It was a fantastic day of basketball for all the teams and Coaches Liam & Enda are excited to see what this group can do in the Under 12 League next season. Next up is a visit from Dublin Lions in mid-May.

Special mention to Mark Nelson, David Barry and Liam O'Shaughnessy who reffed 15 games between them on the day and our wonderful Table Officials in St Kierans Kila and Aoibhin without which none of this would have been possible.

Over the next two weekends we look forward to welcoming all of the top clubs in the South East Area League to compete in the Top 4 Playoffs in St Kierans & O'Loughlins.
