Managing Director, Mr. Michael Quinn and Director, Mr. Adrian Burke of Robert Quinn Ltd, were very welcome guests at our U18 girls practice yesterday evening. There to greet them was club chairman Damien Brett, head coach Puff Summers and of course, the wonderful ladies of the Kilkenny Stars U18 squad.
Michael and Adrian presented the team with their brand new kits less than 24 hours after the club, and this team, received more amazing news. U18 players Faye McDonnell and Aoibhin Dunphy (pictured with Michael and Adrian) had just received news of their call up to the Irish U18 Ladies squad. Congratulations to them. The ladies will no doubt look the part this season thanks to one of the leading construction companies in Leinster, Robert Quinn Ltd.
This is an amazing group players who are receiving high level coaching from their head coach, Puff Summers. The team boasts two U18 Irish International players and will be joined by a further three U16 Irish Internationals along with all the other highly skilled and valued Kilkenny Stars players in the squad.
Hopes are very high for the U18 National Cup 2023 competition and we believe the girls will make their mark representing Kilkenny Stars on the national stage. We all have our fingers crossed for Kilkenny's first ever National Cup. Sure they have no excuse now they have lovely kit!!!
