The U16 girls teams along with their coach Puff Summers and club chairman Damien Brett, were delighted to welcome Mr. Anthony Coomey of KRM Kearney Roche & McGuinn LLP Solicitors, to their training session last evening. Anthony presented Kilkenny Stars and Irish International player, Kaitlynn Summers, with the girls brand new kits. For the first time in the club's history we reached out to the local business community here in Kilkenny for support and we were not left wanting. These striking home and away kits in the club colours of black and orange, were very generously sponsored by the highly respected local law firm, KRM Kearney Roche & McGuinn LLP Solicitors.
There is a lot of buzz around this group of players for the season ahead and for years to come. The team is made up of committed, focused and driven young ladies who are receiving the highest standards of coaching from their head coach, Puff Summers. The team boasts no less than three, Irish International players along with all the other highly skilled and valued Kilkenny Stars players in the squad . While we have a LOT of basketball to play first, looking forward to the end of the season, we very much hope to see this team take their place at the All Ireland Club Championships 2024. Can they be the ones to take home Kilkenny's first ever basketball All Ireland? Watch this space! From the girls, their coaches and all of us here in Kilkenny Stars we want to express our thanks and our gratitude to KRM Kearney Roche & McGuinn LLP Solicitors for your support and belief in what we are trying to achieve in the club. Thank you for coming on this journey with us.
